During your exploration of the caves in Sons Of The Forest, some might require you to use a zipline if you want to progress deeper. How To Get Rope Gun In Sons Of The Forest
To get the Rope Gun, you must first navigate to the western side of the map, sandwiched between the ocean and snowy mountain range. Once there, you’ll encounter a cave leading to a winding trek. You can find the exact location of the cave on the map shown below.
Step 1: Go To The Cave
As you approach the indicated location on the map, a green blip will appear on your GPS. Follow this blip until you come across the entrance to the cave. Simply walk inside the entrance, hit the E key to enter if you’re on a keyboard, or press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox), and use any light source you have available to light your way. We recommend a flashlight, but a torch or lighter will work as well.

Step 2: Walk Down The Cave
As you progress through the cave, continue straight until you reach a wide-open space. From the opening, turn left and hug the wall as closely as possible. Eventually, you’ll arrive at another opening that leads to another corridor. Keep moving straight until you spot a large grey creature embedded in the wall.
Step 3: Blow The Mutant
To clear a path through this creature, grab the Time Bombs lying on the ground next to the deceased body. Toss the bombs at the creature, and it will explode, creating a path for you to walk through.
Then just continue exploring the cave till the end. Once you reach the end, you’ll find a crate on the ground containing the Rope Gun. You’ll also be using the Rope Gun to zipline down the cave’s exit.
