Silksong Is On the Way, Says Team Cherry

Silksong, the sequel to Hollow Knight, is one of the most anticipated games of today, but the wait is so long that the fans even begin to question whether it will ever be released. But, according to Team Cherry’s Marketing Manager, Silksong is on the way.

Hollow Knight is a stunning game made by Team Cherry and released back in 2017. This simple 2D platformer took the hearts and minds of fans worldwide, with its fun Metroidvania gameplay, beautiful art style, and surprisingly fleshed-out worldbuilding. The sequel, called Silksong, follows the story of one of the characters you meet in the original game, Hornet. It has been in development since 2019. That is already six years to date, and the fans started having doubts about it. But, the devs assure us that everything is going according to plan.

“The Game Is Real” Developers State That Silksong Is On the Way

It’s been a while and the fans practically lost their patience. A lot of them doubt that the game will ever be released, using the popular catchphrase “The cake is a lie!”. But recently, after allegations that Team Cherry has given up on the game, one X user asked Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry’s Marketing Manager, if anything is happening with the game at all: “I just want to know if the game is progressing in its development or if the team has given up on the project, please i only need a: “yes, the game is real and someday it will release”, PLEASE”

Surprisingly, Mr. Griffin replied: “Yes the game is real, progressing and will release. <3”

The community was supportive after this claim, saying that the devs should take their time in order to give us a great game and that there are plenty of other games to play while waiting for Silksong. On the other hand, others are skeptical, saying that this is an obligatory “the game is real” message of the year. Hopefully, we’ll get some more concrete information soon.
