Piloswine is one of the many beloved Pokémon that were brought back in The Teal Mask DLC in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. With players relishing its laid-back nature, many have wondered how to evolve the Pokémon into Mamoswine. So, if you’re also loaded with questions about Piloswine’s evolution process, jump in as we explain the entire evolution step-by-step!

How to Evolve Piloswine into Mamoswine in The Teal Mask

You can evolve Piloswine into Mamoswine by making it learn the Ancient Power move. Since Ancient Power is already part of Piloswine’s default moveset, you only have to make it remember the special move by following the steps below:

  1. Head over to “Check summary” and select the second tab to view the “Moves and Stats” menu.
  2. Press A and select “Remember moves”.
  3. Scroll down to the Ancient Power move and select it to add it to Piloswine’s moveset.

Once Piloswine has learned the move, level it up one more time by feeding it candy or training it. As soon as the Pokémon levels up, it’ll evolve into the mammoth-looking Mamoswine.

Unfortunately, Piloswines are quite rare, and getting your hands on one to evolve it is a challenge of its own. So, now that you know how to evolve Piloswines, it’s time you head out to find the Ice/Ground-type Pokémon (with a little help from us, of course)!

How to Find and Capture Piloswine in The Teal Mask

Given that Piloswine is a cross between a woolly mammoth and a boar, it’s no wonder that it loves to hang around near caves. You can find the elusive Pokémon in the caves that run inside Oni Mountain. Players were able to locate one in the Chilling Waterhead cave, which is located on the eastern side of Oni Mountain.

Bear in mind that the porcine Pokémon is immune to Electric-type and resistant to Poison-type attacks. Given its Ice/Ground hybrid type, we advise using Fighting, Steel, Fire, Water, or Grass-type Pokémon to take advantage of Piloswine’s vulnerability towards their attacks. While battling, make sure to not knock Piloswine out though, and keep Poké Balls handy to throw and capture the Ice/Ground-type.
