There is more to Sony PlayStation than just the console. There are a lot of useful accessories, like headphones, earbuds, PS Portal, or the ever-present and necessary controllers. On the topic of the last ones, allegedly, Sony is about to release black versions of some of their peripherals, namely, the DualSense Edge controller, the Pulse Elite wireless headset, and the Pulse Explore wireless headphones. For the record, all of those accessories are currently only available in white. But that is not all. According to an insider, the next special-edition DualSense Controller that Sony plans to release for PlayStation 5 will be themed around Helldivers 2.
The Next DualSense Controller for PlayStation 5 Is Supposed to Be Themed Around Helldivers 2
Every now and then, Sony releases a special version of a DualSense Controller. The selling point is that they are themed around popular games. For example, in September, Sony released an Astro Bot themed DualSense Controller. It was a limited run, priced at $79.99 / €79.99 / £69.99 / ¥11,980. And now, word has spread that another themed DualSense is on the way.
According to Billbil-Kun, a reliable PS insider, the new PS5 DualSense Controller will be inspired by Helldivers 2. Everyone knows that Helldivers 2 is one of the most famous games of 2024, with a really controversial story. But still, the game is going strong, and it is a wonder that it hasn’t been nominated for GOTY 2024. In any case, this new DualSense is supposed to be available worldwide. Some earlier themed controllers were region-locked (for example, the Monster Hunter Wilds controller was only available in East Asia), but thankfully, the HD2 will not be so. Managed Democracy knows no borders!
As for the pricing, the insider says that it will cost somewhere around $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99. A tiny bit more expensive than the Astro Bot one. We do not know the details about its release and design, but rumors claim that a special event will be held on December 3 where we may find out more. But, those are only rumors, so take it with a grain of salt. In any case, a Helldivers 2 themed controller will surely help you to bring Managed Democracy to all parts of the galaxy. Super Earth said so and they are always right!
