Many players look forward to seasonal sales on Steam, as they should because they can get some amazing deals during those sales. Well, the Steam Autumn Sale starts on November 27, so you can count on finding some great discounts for picks compatible with your Steam Deck. Thankfully, the always helpful Steam Deck community has some advice on how and what you should choose.
How to Make the Right Choice During the Steam Autumn Sale?
As you probably know, seasonal sales are enormous, so making a choice can be quite overwhelming. How does one decide which games are worth the money, and which ones aren’t? We’ve all bought games that just sit there and wait for their turn (which will probably never come).
Well, the Steam Deck community has your back, don’t worry. Many users shared their very specific ways of deciding what they’d buy. So, if you are unsure, you can use their advice as a starting point, at the very least.
LeonEstrak noted: “First. Check steamdb.info and see what games are trending on the day of the sale. They will generally have the popular games that had a deep sale, maybe for the first time too. Second. Set the filter to under $5 or under $10 and see the highest-rated ones. Third. Gaming subreddits. If some great game is on deep discount then there should be 1 post that you’ll scroll by with the game name”.
The_4ngry_5quid added: “Honestly, any of the top-rated triple-A games from 5-10 years ago. Think Witcher, Tomb Raiders, etc. A lot of them go on sale for less than £5. You can use SteamDB to see the historic price of any game, and therefore what it will likely cost in a sale”.
Steam Deck Users Share Their Top Picks
Of course, Steam Deck users also shared their top picks for the Autumn Sale. If you aren’t interested in listing through hundreds of games on sale and having to research everything on your own, you might appreciate some of these recommendations.
HotCoffee017 shared: “I’m trying to keep an eye on Ghost of Tsushima or Armored Core”. Now, if you’re thinking that Ghost of Tsushima is unsupported, that’s because the multiplayer doesn’t work. However, many players confirmed that it otherwise runs beautifully.
Another Redditor noted: “Dead Space (2023), CyberPunk, any of the RE remakes or RE7/8, Titan Fall, Control, Kingdom Hearts… no idea if these are going on sale js some of my quick favs from off the top of my head”.
Among other suggestions, we found Sleeping Dogs, Supraland, Deus Ex, Dishonored, Outer Worlds, The Long Dark, Phantom Fury, Forza Horizon 4&5, and many others. So, if you are looking for a little (or big) treat, we are sure you’ll manage to find something. Also, aside from the Steam Autumn sale, Humble Bundle has a great deal on the Telltale collection and the Sci-Fi Shooters bundle. We hope you’ll find something you’ll enjoy greatly.
