Monster Hunter Wilds’ official release is getting closer and closer. Scheduled for the end of February 2025, players everywhere look forward to the latest installment of the popular Monster Hunter franchise. But, on October 23, the developers, Capcom, held a Monster Hunter Wilds showcase where they, besides talking about the game and all the features, announced that an MH Wilds Open Beta event would be starting any day now. On that note, for fans who are subscribed to PlayStation Plus, the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta begins today.
Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Is Now Available for Download for PlayStation Plus Members
At the Monster Hunter Worlds showcase event, Capcom announced that they will have two instances of Open Beta. One for regular users and another “early access” for PS+ members. The Early Acess open beta begins today, Monday, October 28, at 3am GMT.
This exclusive open beta event will end on Thursday, October 31, at 3am GMT. The regular open beta event (for PlayStation users without PS+, Xbox users, and PC users) starts a day after that. The Beta already received high scores on the PS Store, giving it a 4.94 rating, out of 5.00.
How to Download MH Wilds Beta
If you are a PS+ subscriber, getting Monster Hunter Wilds Beta is extremely easy. You simply have to go to the PS Store and look for Monster Hunter Wilds Beta (or follow this link). Once there simply follow the instructions and you will be hunting monsters in no time.
Note that the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta requires somewhere around 16GB of your storage space to download, so make sure you have enough. It is not much, but this is just a Beta run, where you can create your character, go through the tutorial involving a Chatacabra hunt, and finally hunt down the alpha of the Doshaguma pack. Not much, but quite enough for a Beta.
