The opening weekend of the latest game in the Call of Duty franchise has come and gone. Although the first impressions were mostly full of praise, the players were quick to point out some glaring problems. As the hype over the release settled, the Black Ops 6 players started examining all the issues, and hit reg is on top of everyone’s list.

An Issue With the Hit Reg Sours Fans’ Experiences

Many players expected to face some issues at launch. The main contenders were newer additions, Omnimovement and SBMM. However, not many players expected to have hit reg issues in Black Ops 6, especially given how experienced the devs were.

If you’ve spent any time on BO6 social media, you’ve probably noticed numerous players’ complaints. Some players even offered video evidence of their demise in instances where they clearly should have won.

ForceStun wondered: “What is wrong with hit reg and TTK?”. This player shared a video showcasing their point. They noted: “Can someone explain this video clip to me? On slow-mo, I hit this guy with at least 7 bullets, many of which were hs, he didn’t die. Looking at the death cam, he got garbage aim all to my f**king mid-body and yet wins this fight”.

Black Ops 6 Players Ask the Devs for a Fix

Other Black Ops 6 players soon joined the campaign for the improvement of the hit reg. Many of them shared their experiences with the community and came to the conclusion that something had to be done.

SweetWilliamCigars noted: “The hit reg or TTK seems to be all over the place. I can’t figure out why sometimes I get 7 markers and die in 2 bullets. I’ve even clipped several instances thinking it was my aim or something. It is definitely the game”.

Another player, MrRespect_1129, stated: “Coming from MWII, the way BO6 registers my hits and the damage I’m dealing doesn’t make me happy. I’m wasting nearly half a mag to get a bunch of hitmarkers (sometimes even a double headshot hitmarker) but the enemy just doesn’t die. It’s like I’m using a water gun against real guns”.

ItsEternalBlue added: ” I go into firing range and it’ll take say 5 bullets with my AR to kill the dummies. How come in an actual game with a wired connection (no net problems) I consistently feel like I am being robbed of kills? I will land 5 sometimes before the enemy even shoots me and yet they will kill me first”.

Issues like these can be really annoying. Hopefully, the devs are already on it and they’ll issue a fix soon. However, keep in mind that hit reg issues require time, so we suppose it will be a series of small changes before the devs hit the spot. So, be patient and try to enjoy the game. See you out there.
