Marking the third installment to the series, Payday 3 follows the aptly named Payday Gang on a series of heists where you will play the part of a criminal. Offering up both single and multiplayer modes, the co-op shooter title promises highly ambitious yet smooth gunplay and plenty opportunities to exercise strategy as you gamble with your crew members and hostages. Now that we’ve reached the start of the game’s closed beta, the first batch of players is getting in on the action and rallying those hopeful to play next month. Will Payday 3 be available to play on PlayStation? Yes and no — here’s what we know.

- Give in to your greed – Give outlet to your greed and let loose in PAYDAY 3. In addition to gold, cash and jewelry and any other valuables they might come across, you’ll be able to build a sizable collection of weapons, cosmetics and accolades.
- In PAYDAY 3 the choice is put in the hands of the players, deciding how to tackle the heist, whether you sneak or go in guns blazing, whether you let your hostages go or keep them around as pawns, whether you go at it alone or bring friends.
- Thrive in Co-op – Not just anyone is worthy of standing at your side for something as important as a heist. Likewise, PAYDAY 3 is best enjoyed with close friends in mind, whether you bring them from your childhood or make them along the road.

Is Payday 3 Available on PlayStation?
Payday 3 will be available to play on PlayStation 5 consoles upon release, just another title in line to boast current-gen exclusivity for the time being. While disappointing to those who still hold their PS4 near and dear, the game’s day-one availability on PS5 seems to take advantage of the console’s capabilities, promising top-notch graphics and liquid smooth gameplay.
What’s more, PlayStation has posted trailers for Payday 3, which viewers have been quick to praise. Citing the ambitious gunplay featured in the game, it seems the potential player base is now eager to get their pre-orders in for one of four game editions and take part in a heist with friends to test out just how well the new title will hold up upon its release next month.
Is Payday 3 coming to PS4?
While Payday 3 won’t be available on PS4 upon release, it is rumored that the title will come to PS4 post-launch. However, this information has not yet been explicitly confirmed by publisher Deep Silver or developer Starbreeze Studios. At the time of writing, we can assume Payday 3 will be exclusive to current-gen systems and consoles.
