Call of Duty fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Modern Warfare 3 as they look forward to a more polished version of the 2011 classic. Since its announcement, Sledgehammer Games has been rolling out details about the upcoming reboot sequel and players couldn’t help but splurge a bit just to secure a copy of it. For those who have yet to purchase a copy of Call of Duty’s latest installment, you can check out below its various versions and their corresponding prices.
How much Modern Warfare 3 will cost you?
Per Call of Duty’s official website, there are currently two editions of Modern Warfare 3:
Cross Gen (Standard Edition) – USD 69.99

- Early Access to its Campaign mode
- Zombie Ghost Operator skin
Vault Edition – USD 99.99
- A copy of MW3
- Early Access to is Campaign mode
- Zombie Ghost Operator Skin
- Soul Harvester Tracer Weapon Blueprint
- Nemesis Operator Pack
- Two Weapon Vaults
- BlackCell (Season 1) – this comes with 30 Additional Tier Skips
If you’ll be purchasing it via the PlayStation Store, both editions will give you an exclusive Lockpick Operator Pack.

Further considerations before buying MW3
Now that you know what you’ll be getting in both versions of the game, here are some things worth noting before purchasing any of the above-mentioned:
- The Zombie Ghost Operator Skin is redeemable provided that you have Modern Warfare 2/Warzone which are sold/downloaded separately.
- The Weapon Vaults’ design is limited to Weapon Vault contents at MW3’s launch
- You have to wait for MW3’s Season 1 Battle Pass to go live before you can access its Tier Skips, Call of Duty points, and Battle Pass. It went on to note that the redemption of the Battle Pass is only applicable to just one season of the upcoming game’s Battle Pass.
