Mortal Kombat 1, the latest installment in the franchise is set to release in September, and is set to bring the series back to its roots. I loved the launch trailer as it revealed familiar playable characters and gave a good look at the game, including some info about the multiplayer aspects.

Does Mortal Kombat 1 Have Multiplayer?
Just like its predecessors, Mortal Kombat 1 will feature online multiplayer elements, offering the opportunity to engage in thrilling battles with friends and other players in fire god Liu Kang new world . It will also have offline multiplayer for local events, allowing tournaments and friends to play without relying on an internet connection.
The Mortal Kombat series has featured various multiplayer modes in the past, but we do not know what types will be in Mortal Kombat 1. We expect there will be standard 1v1 modes, but there may be others that return or new ones added. Any online mode will likely require an online membership depending on whether you play on console Xbox, PC (Epic Games Store and Steam), Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation, and there is no confirmation on whether the game will have offline modes.
With the multiplayer feature, players can also play Kameo fighters. These fighters are the unique roster of partner characters who you can call upon during battles. Players will also see familiar characters such as Frost, Sonya, Li Mei, Shang Tsung, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Raiden and more
Will MK1 have Co Op Capabilities?
No MK1 will not have co op due to the nature of the arcade themed game. It would be difficult to have 2 players on screen at once to fighting another fighter.
Does Mortal Kombat 1 Have Rollback Netcode?
Netherrealm Studios has confirmed that Rollback Netcode will be in Mortal Kombat 1. This ensures the best quality when it comes to online matchmaking, removing lag, stuttering, and input lag. Rollback Netcode is essentially the best system a fighting game a have, so it is a big win for it to be included in Mortal Kombat 1.
