Jedi: Survivor takes place five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order.
In the previous title, the main protagonist Cal Kestis survived the extermination of the Jedi known as Order 66. He and a former Jedi Knight named Cere Junda take it upon themselves to rebuild the Jedi Order and restore peace in the universe after the Imperial Empire’s takeover.

Much of the previous title revolved around Cal trying to find a Holocron containing a list of force-sensitive children left behind by Cere’s former master, Eno Cordova. However, this plotline is resolved by the end of the game, leaving the story open-ended for the beginning of Jedi: Survivor.
What happens over the five years between Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor is the subject of a novel titled Jedi: Battle Scars by Sam Maggs. The book features the same ragtag crew, led by Cal, searching for a new weapon to aid them in their fight against the Empire.

Seeing the growth in Cal Kestis as we explore Jedi: Survivor will be exciting.
