Can You Play Genshin Impact Through Steam?
No, Genshin Impact is currently unavailable in the Steam Store, and you will only find Honkai Impact from Chinese developer MiHoYo. This limitation is particularly troublesome for Steam Deck users who have no legal method to access the game. Instead, you must use various workarounds if you plan to play Genhin Impact on the Steam Deck.
When Is Genshin Impact Coming to Steam?
It’s unlikely that it will be coming to Steam anytime soon. Instead, PC users will have to access the game through a direct download via the official website or the Epic Games store.
How To Add Genshin Impact to Your Steam Library?
While the game remains unavailable on Steam, adding it to your Steam Library is still possible if you already have it downloaded. Just follow these steps to add Genshin Impact to your Steam account:
- Download Genshin Impact via Mihoyo
- Launch Steam and click on the Games button at the top left
- Select “Add non-Steam Game”
- Select and add Genshin Impact to your list of games
This will add the Genshin Impact icon to your Steam Library and you can start the game launcher directly from there. Note that this method doesn’t officially add the game to your library and is just an alternative way of accessing the official launcher.
