You would be wrong if you thought you didn’t need to improve movement when trying to get better in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Get a competitive edge over the enemy by improving your game movement with this guide.
We’ll cover the best movement techniques in detail, which would prove invaluable when mastered.
Best settings for movement in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2
In comparison to consoles, PCs allow you to modify much more options. Still, if you own a console and have the option to change these settings, these tips are generally better for FPS games.
- Always turn off Motion Blur. This prevents things from looking blurry as you look around.
- Move the Field of View slider to 120. As a result, you will be able to see more of the area around you, catching enemies you would otherwise miss.
- Sustain 60 FPS at all times. By doing this, you ensure that frame drops won’t occur unexpectedly.

Crouch Spam
Crouch Spam is the easiest movement skill to learn in this list. This will have your character squat quickly and stand up straight.
To Crouch Spam, all you have to do is repeatedly press the crouch button.
As a result, your opponent must adjust to where your character is. This will prevent anyone from killing you too quickly with headshots, but it will help an opponent that is aiming for your midsection. Use this with caution.
Dolphin Dive
A Dolphin Dive is used when you get to a bad position, and is best paired with Popcorn Hop shown below. It just throws your character onto the ground into a prone position.
To Dolphin Dive, sprint forward in any direction and then press and hold the crouch button.
Drop Shot
Essentially, you are quickly turning around to handle enemies around you. Doing this lets you drop quickly without losing the ability to aim at your opponent.
To Drop Shot hold your left stick backward and hold the crouch button. As you dive into the ground, you will quickly turn around.

Jump Shot
The Jump Shot is one of the easier tricks to master. First, make sure you know that there is an enemy around the corner. When you’re sure, then you should perform a Jump Shot.
To perform a jump shot, run around the corner and jump before making it completely over. Pre-aim at the enemy and start firing the moment they’re in sight. Keep jumping until the enemy is down.
Due to the enemy’s habit of trying to aim for the head, this strategy works. The enemy will inadvertently shoot at your legs, causing you to receive minimal damage while your opponent suffers a lot.
Popcorn Hop
This is one of the more difficult moves to master. You can only perform this when you are prone and about to enter a firefight.
To perform a Popcorn Hop, you just need to press the jump button twice quickly to activate a double jump. This causes your character to jump once and then jump again in the air.
The enemy must go from aiming at a prone enemy to one in the air and then to one even higher than they should be. Before they can adjust themselves properly, you should have enough opportunity to shoot them.
Slide Cancel
The classic Slide Cancel is a must-know for any player. By doing this, you can benefit from the quick movement of sliding without the drawback of it taking too long to end.
To Slide Cancel, you just need to jump twice in the middle of a slide and quickly aim down your sight. This cancels the slide and allows you to immediately aim at the nearby enemy.
You can use this to get the drop on your enemy and clear the distance between you and them.
Tactical Sprint Reset
The Tactical Sprint Reset lets you sprint again almost immediately after your last sprint ends. The ability to continue sprinting from a situation is incredibly important to learn, as you never know when you’ll need it.
You can perform a Tactical Sprint Reset by pressing the melee button immediately after your sprint ends. This will reset the cooldown timer so that you can perform another tactical sprint.
