Helldivers 2 Veterans Warn the Players Not to Wish for a Gaellivare Defense
With all the holidays and breaks, Helldivers are becoming a bit antsy for something big to happen. Players mainly complain that the recent Major Orders feel like fillers while the devs are on their well-deserved vacations. So, some Helldivers 2 players would love for the imminent Gaellivare defense to be a little more dramatic.
Some Helldivers Root for a Gaellivare Defense
As you know, the recent Major Order sent the players to liberate and keep Mastia and Tarsh, while also keeping Gaellivare. Liberating Mastia was quite a feat, especially for the newer players. However, at the time of writing this article, it’s been successfully liberated.
Brave Helldivers immediately transferred to Tarsh to keep spreading Managed Democracy. We are glad to report that the players are doing very well, and Tarsh should be liberated well before the Major Order ends.
That leaves Gaellivare which is currently under the command of Super Earth. Things on Gaellivare have been quite quiet. But, with more than 3 days until the MO ends, things are bound to change. Some Helldivers even wish for a challenge in the form of the Jet Brigade.
Study_Fluffy noted: “Please Arrowhead, if you attack Gaellivare this MO, please do so with the Jet Brigade. Some of the most enriching, challenging, and fun gameplay I’ve had on the bot front has been when the Jet Brigade is active on a planet. The end of each mission is satisfying, even when lost. Furthermore, all difficulties get a bit harder, which can remove some monotony”.

Having Jet Brigade Join Might Be Traumatizing
Now, Helldivers 2 players had some troubles with the Jet Brigade, coincidentally, especially on a defense mission on Gaellivare. So, some more experienced players are wary of going through the same scenario again. Many players went as far as saying that Gaellivare was worse than the Creek.
AG28DaveGunner stated: “I’d say Gaellivare was worse. The map is the hardest I’ve fought on, the thin but numerous palm trees hide the patrols, and the lack of rocks and varied terrain gives you nothing to hide behind. I’ve never had so many teams empty out on me because of sheer stress and frustration”.
Even though the Creek was one of the most iconic battles, there’ve been several deadlier than it. In our experience, Gaellivare was extremely frustrating and many players were completely drained after fighting against the Jet Brigade.
So, be careful what you wish for. Bringing back the Jet Brigade in the middle of the Illuminate invasion, with the wormhole just waiting to spew out something, well, you’d agree, it’d be quite a lot. So, for the time being, join us on Tarsh, and let’s take this step by step. For Liberty and Super Earth.
