Things have been kind of quiet lately. Whether it’s the calm before the storm or just the holidays, many Helldivers noticed that not much was happening. Well, everyone needs something to look forward to. The latest Helldivers 2 leaks show off a brand new Primary that could potentially drop soon.
According to Leaks, the New Primary Is a Variant
One established leaker and data miner, IronS1ghts, shared all the details they discovered about the never-seen-before Primary weapon. The weapon in question is the Toxin Jar-5 Dominator variant.
IronS1ghts stated: “(Leak) Jar-5 Dominator – Toxin. Quick gameplay of the Toxin Jar-5 Dominator variant. This has been in the files for a while, but now it no longer crashes. This is not the finished variant, I am simply showing off the projectile associated with it. This variant features “Toxin” rounds, along with an ergonomic mag”.
As for the stats, Damage is 160, Capacity is 15, Recoil is 75, and Fire Rate is 250. This weapon should be Medium Armor Penetrating. According to this leak, this variant trades fire rate and magazine capacity for increased damage per projectile.
The leaker attached a video of the gameplay and shared what else the players could expect. The OP added: “It’s worth noting that the effect used for this is likely to be a placeholder. The actual AOE on the explosion is fairly low. They may be using these attachments as testing for a weapon that will be released later, or it may actually be a Jar-5 Variant”.
Helldivers 2 Players Have Some Concerns About This Primary
Keep in mind that the majority of Helldivers 2 leaks, including this Primary, are something that the devs are still working on. The one aspect that caught everyone’s attention was the enormous gas cloud. While some gas mask users were thrilled, other players had valid concerns.
Commissar Chow noted: “Honestly it would be nice if it had a way smaller gas cloud so that way you can be a little more precise on what you want to poison. I don’t wanna carpet an area with death where my squad is running or where they need to go. I do like the idea though”. However, this is most likely a placeholder, so don’t worry.
Another player, JABG, noticed something interesting. They said: “Call me crazy, but I have a slight suspicion that these might be a gun for that one pass that was about wild, as this weapon seems themed to something similar to the sniper with teeth”. This player might be referring to the leaked Primal Warbond, which might indicate when this weapon would drop.
Now, having something to look forward to is great, however, we should also concentrate on the current problems.
