There has been a development regarding the Gloom! Since they failed the last Major Order, the players are ready to get back into the saddle and squish some bugs. Just in time, as some Helldivers 2 players claim the new Major Order could finally create a passage to the Sten Sector.
The Current Major Order Sends Helldivers to the Jin Xi Sector
The official Helldivers 2 account on X posted an announcement for the new Major Order. It read: “MAJOR ORDER: A massive Terminid outbreak has erupted out of the Gloom into the Jin Xi sector. Colonies in the Jin Xi sector are only weeks old, but millions of families are trapped within, awaiting emergency evacuation. All Helldivers are called to the colonies’ defense”.
Joel gave the players 4 days to defend against 4 Terminid attacks. Also, when the MO time expires the players are obligated to hold three planets, Phact Bay, Gatria, and Gar Haren. At the time of writing this article, the brave Helldivers are holding all three planets and they managed to fend off one Terminid attack so far.
Players Might Secure a Passage to the Sten Sector
Many Helldivers 2 players were excited about the prospect of fighting against the bugs again, but some noticed the Major Order might provide them with a path to the Sten Sector. Now, all devoted Helldivers know that this would be an amazing opportunity to get access to new planets, and maybe even new biomes.
Damien_Sin was the first to notice this possibility. They noted: “Well, it seems this MO now completes the link between the Jin Xi Sector and the Sten Sector. I always wondered when we’d go invade it”. This player inspected the Sten Sector and reported back to the community. They added: “Ooof. Two ion storm planets, a new Hellmire, and a planet with no effects on it”.
If you check the Supply Lines, you’ll see that there is a possibility for the devs to decide to place one of the next MOs in the Sten Sector. The so-called Hellhounds (Hellmire fans) are extremely happy because of this, as their favorite planet is currently completely covered by the Gloom.
Unfortunately, not many Helldivers have made this connection so far. Some players refused to participate in this Major Order as it felt repetitive and didn’t offer grand rewards. So, tell your stubborn friends that Sten Sector might be on the line, and they might change their minds.
It would be a shame for an opportunity like this one to go to waste. It isn’t every day that the players get a chance to secure a way to a new sector. We’d suggest you take your best build and meet us somewhere around the Jin Xi sector. Let’s fight together, for Super Earth.
