Helldivers 2 Players Lost a Battle as the War Approaches

Another day, another unfortunate event for Helldivers 2 players. A Major Order was issued, asking for two billion Automatons to be exterminated. Helldivers all over the world united in efforts to complete the mission. They failed, killing around 1.5 billion Bots. On the eve of the Second Galactic War, Helldivers 2 fans lost all hope.

Helldivers Wonder What Went Wrong

Recently, the fans faced a lot, whether it was the PSN controversy, the new weapon nerfs, or the general dissatisfaction with the new Warbond. Some players quit the game in search of something new. The number of players is at an all-time low. This is probably the reason behind the failed operation.

Players took to Reddit to share their opinions. Dionysus24812 declared: “Even if we failed this major order, I’m glad we could fail it together, fellow ‘divers”. Another user, Top-Long2653 noted: “We almost made it through. The 2 billion was a tall order anyhow”.

Other players pitched in, Horror-Tank-4082 said: “Too tall [of an order]. Twice as hard to get kills and we had less than half the players. 1.5B was the target, in retrospect. And people worked hard – pulled all-nighters, even”. This fan went as far as blaming Joel for giving them too hard of a mission.

Some players pointed out that you were supposed to lose some Major Order challenges. Jungle_Difference offered a rebuttal: “This was a Stratagem unlock. We were supposed to win this”. They accused the developers of the fact that “they failed to account for the fact that the player base in general never liked playing bots”. The announcement issued recently might be the silver lining, so “we may see some players return in the coming week”.

Fans Get an Exciting Galactic War Update

Baskinator, one of the Community Managers, gave fans an update, following their loss. She summarized: “After five days of intense decommissioning of Automatons into scrap metal for use in advanced anti-tank mines, the Helldivers came 78% towards the stated goal of 2 billion dead bots. This means that the new Stratagem will continue to elude the Helldiver arsenal for now”.
It wasn’t all bad news. She shared some exciting updates: “The war now escalates into what is officially called “The Second Galactic War”. All conflict leading up to this was merely an elaborate “special operation”. New recruits are being trained to bolster the ranks of SEAF, and the Helldivers are tasked with guarding these training facilities so that each recruit can be given their rigorous 72-hour basic training”. Ghostile represented us all and said: “This made me exhale audibly. Well done”.

So, fans have a lot to look forward to. As Downtown_Narwhal_711 said: “We lost the battle but not the war! Stand strong”. Dedicated players are unified in their eagerness to win the Second Galactic War. We can hardly wait.
