Helldivers 2 Players Attack Meissa to Ensure Major Order Victory
On July 3, after finishing a strenuous Major Order, dedicated Helldivers received another one, mere hours later. The current MO asked the players to liberate only one planet, X-45 in the Ymir sector. Well, it took the player base less than 12 hours to complete that order. Now, with six more days left until the end of the Major Order, the Helldivers 2 players are making plans to go on an offensive mission and liberate Meissa as well.
Spreading Democracy One Major Order at a Time
Recently, there has been a lot of talk about going on the offensive among the players. They agreed that Vandalon IV was in desperate need of liberation, but, unfortunately, those efforts fell through. Now, Meissa has taken over as a planet of great strategic importance. If you are wondering why Meissa, looking into Supply Lines might help you understand your fellow soldiers better.

War-Machina noted: “Thanks to Supply Lines now being visible, we know attacking Meissa will cut any attack to X-45. We can bite and hold Meissa there will be no threat to X-45. If we hold Meissa from the bots there will be no threat from the Andromeda sector”.
Obviously, some players pointed out that Helldivers’ presence on X-45 is a priority, but liberating Meissa would be sort of a bonus. Hangulman said: “X-45 is priority #1. In an ideal world, we could coordinate once it was secured to send just enough forces to win ongoing defense ops, with the remainder grinding down Meissa. Especially since the current regen on that planet is set to a paltry 1%… for now”.
Crime-Devil suggested an even more thought-out approach. They explained: “We can also go defend Wezen to prevent a flank and then go on Meissa and get that as high percentage as we can before the next attack. Maybe gambit it to save X-45 and retake Ymir sector”.
Why Are Some Helldivers 2 Players Refusing to Fight on Meissa?
The more cautious Helldivers 2 players might still stick to the Major Order rather than going on the offensive and attacking Meissa or any other planet. Weird_Excuse8083 explained: “Just stick with the MO in this case. Gambits aren’t always the best option in every situation. Also, X-45 has a new biome versus bots, so that’s why most of us are going to be there”.

Most of the players who were for staying on X-45 mentioned the new biome as one of the main reasons. RyanTaylorrz said: “I have no shame in admitting I plan to play the new biome with bots”. Another player, deachem, agreed: “We don’t liberate Meissa and get to spend more time fighting the bots on the new forest moon biome”.
To be honest, this is quite the dilemma for devoted players. On one hand, they can listen to the explicit orders and stay on X-45, waiting for another wave of bots to arrive. On the other one, they could take matters into their own hands and cut off the supply lines. But, would that be considered treason? Good, obedient soldiers would never do that. We’ll have to wait and see what Joel has to say about that. Until then, we’ll be on Meissa, spreading democracy. Hope to see you there.
