Well folks, Jack will continue to be a lone wolf in Ghostrunner 2. As of writing, there’s no confirmation from game developer One More Level that the new game will be getting a multiplayer mode.
The developer opting to stick with single-play in Ghostrunner 2 is probably for the best. This is because introducing a multiplayer mode into the game would be a huge undertaking for them. Keeping the mode fresh and relevant by dishing out new content and updates to it would also be a handful.
Is there a co-op mode in Ghostrunner 2?
No, Ghostrunner 2 does not have a co-op mode either. Adding such a game mode to the sequel would likely implement a split-screen feature which is not practical considering how fast-paced the gameplay of Ghostrunner is. A game like this requires you to be in full view of your surroundings since Jack (the protagonist) will be all over the place. Most of the players seem to be fine with the game not having a multiplayer mode. However, there are still some who wish that One More Level would add such a feature.
