Season 3 is nearing its end. Epic surprisingly moved the end date a little sooner: “Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 now ends on August 15th at 11 PM ET, and we’ll go into maintenance for v31.00 shortly after.” It gives us about a week until the current Season ends and Season 4 begins. On the topic of the last one, it looks like a familiar end-of-the-season feature will be making a comeback.
Looks Like Pandora’s Box is Back for Season 4
We first saw Pandora’s Box when Chapter 5 Season 1 ended. In the end-of-the-season, we saw Pandora’s Box open and that’s how we got the Greek-mythology-themed Season 2. Fitting, when you think about it.
Now, Fortnite News Japan shared an image of Pandora’s Box emerging from Redline Rig, alluding that the next season will also be heralded by Pandora’s Box. According to multiple reputable leakers, this time the end-of-the-season event will be shorter, only a couple of minutes long. This is quite a change since most events like this tended to last way longer, somewhere around 10 minutes in general.
What to Expect From Season 4
Everything points toward Marvel being the theme of Chapter 5 Season 4. We are looking forward to seeing how are they going to tie in Pandora’s Box with Marvel. We already saw a couple of leaked X-Men (comics) skins so we presume that this time the focus will be on Marvel’s original comics, rather than movies.
What is also important for Season 4 is the fact that it will not have an exclusive Battle Pass like previous Seasons had. Time will tell how this will impact Fortnite’s revenue and what plans Epic Games have for the future.
Next, we will see Fortnitemares when October comes, after which we will get another Fortnite OG season, if the rumors prove true. Finally, the next Chapter of Fortnite, Chapter 6, is expected to start in late November or early December.
