The latest Fortnite patch has brought a lot to the table, including a collaboration with the animated comedy series, Futurama. It’s no surprise that the update has been especially well-received, offering up a set of Futurama skins and two new weapons to obtain. When you meet up with Bender in the game, you can purchase his signature weapon, the Shiny Metal Raygun. However, the second weapon introduced to Fortnite is unrelated to the TV series — the Mammoth Pistol. Teased by devs before the start of the current season, here’s how you can finally get the Mammoth Pistol in Fortnite.
How to Get the Mammoth Pistol in Fortnite
The new Mammoth Pistol can be obtained as loot in Fortnite. This means you won’t need to search too extensively, as the weapon is now readily available as both ground and chest loot. You can also get the Mammoth Pistol from flying drones and Holo-Chests, but you will need a key to open the latter and obtain any loot.
Fortunately, you’ll have ample opportunities to get your hands on the Mammoth Pistol. The newly introduced weapon may not be a particularly rare loot drop, but it’s certainly powerful. Fed with Heavy Ammo, the Mammoth Pistol can deliver lethal blows against foes, proving helpful in a pinch. As a single-shot weapon, you’ll just need to exercise some restraint with the trigger until your target is secured.
Because the Mammoth Pistol was teased by Fortnite devs prior to the current season, we can expect to see this weapon around for quite some time. At the very least, you’ll be able to get the new weapon while the current season lasts.
