Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 3 has just started, and there’s already an exciting update on the horizon. Bringing us the alleged news is the popular Fortnite news source Shiina on Twitter, who revealed that the MK-Alpha Assault Rifle will soon become available. This was later rumoured by iFireMonkey with even more details about the weapon. This gun represents a direct callback to a fan-favorite, the MK-Seven Assault Rifle. Here’s everything we are predicting about this exciting new weapon.

Fortnite Rolling Out MK-Seven’s Younger Sibling

After Shiina teased the MK-Alpha Assault Rifle in a June 9 tweet, players were excited to find out more. The initial reaction was positive overall, but more details were needed to gauge MK-Seven’s successor.

Enter iFireMonkey with a banger tweet a few days later, adding to the rumoured news and dropping more info on the so called weapon. His tweet thread goes into detail to describe where they think the gun drops and even estimated stats.

The new supposed MK-Alpha AR is a drop from the upcoming jungle boss Relik, who uses the Wildguard model. As expected, the gun comes in a full slew of rarities, from common to mythic.

The community reaction to the more detailed thread has been mixed. Some players love the idea of the new AR. However, a lot of them worry that it’s “Still gonna be OP af” as one player puts it, while others call it “lazy” and derivative.

MK-Alpha Assault Rifle Damage Stats (Estimated)

While the stats that iFireMonkey leaked are as of yet unconfirmed, it looks like the new AR is going to have slightly toned down damage compared to its predecessor.
