This month, you can win free skin and backbling cosmetics in Fortnite, but you’ll have to put in some elbow grease to do it. With the Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship on the horizon, gathering the best Fortnite players in the world, “regular” players will get a chance to compete in their own right. That’s right, the FNCS Community Cup is back, which lets you and your duo partner compete for a chance to win cool Fortnite cosmetics for free. Here’s everything that we know so far.
How To Play in FNCS Cup To Win Free Fortnite Cosmetics
Starting on August 14, players who rank in at least Bronze will be eligible to compete in the FNCS Community Cup. This competition is divided between regions to allow a better distribution of prizes between player pools. Reporting on Twitter, iFireMonkey previewed the Renegade Outfit and Champion’s Rucksack backbling that players will be able to win.
However, to win these prizes, players will need to be among the best in their region, which is no mean feat. Your team will have to score points by winning matches and garnering eliminations. This will then score the teams by the end of the competition, with everyone who scores at least 8 points getting the Raptor Rider spray.
But you’ll need many more points to win the main prizes, which include the abovementioned goodies, as well as the Star Jet Pickaxe and Good To Go wrap. To be eligible to play, your Fortnite account has to be at least level 15 with two-factor authentication enabled and verified.
If you fail to win any of the main prizes or miss the Cup, there will be another chance to get the cosmetics. However, you’ll have to buy them from the Item Shop instead.
