How To Switch Characters in Fortnite
To change default skins in Fortnite, go to the Locker tab (between Compete and Shop icons) from the main menu using the controller triggers or mouse on your PC. There will be several boxes where specific cosmetic items can be equipped. The box to change your character is in the top left corner of your screen. Look for an icon of a T-shirt hanging on a closet hanger. This one is to the left of the Backpack tile.
Select it with the Confirm button to see your entire inventory of available Outfits to choose from. You can even edit some with different styles and colors if available. For example, a male version of a female character. This is the closest to changing your character’s gender in Fortnite. Once you have made the selection, hit the confirm button again to equip it. Your character’s portrait will now replace the T-shirt icon in the Locker, and you will play that character as a default character until you change it again.
How To Get More Characters in Fortnite
There are plenty of characters to choose from in Fortnite from original characters to well-known movies, video games, and franchises, like DC and Marvel, including Spider-Man, Master Chief, John Wick, Goku, and plenty more. Collaborations are quite popular, as almost everything popular has something in Fortnite, from Dragon Ball to Stranger Things. While there are many options to choose from, it all depends on how long you have been playing the game and how much you are willing to spend.
You can get New Outfits by buying them from the in-game store with V-Bucks or unlocked through the Battle Pass. There are limited-time events that may reward a new character, but they are rare.
