Fortnite players are gearing up for the upcoming Season 4 of Chapter 4. With the release date looming close, even more new information has been gleaned from the teasers. Players won’t have to wait long to find out everything that’s coming in the new season, but there’s plenty to be excited about. Let’s dive in and dissect everything that we’ve seen so far.
Epic Games teasers reveal more about Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 4
The first teaser that appeared on Fortnite’s Twitter account made fans speculate about everything that’s coming in the new season. Obviously, there are plenty of breadcrumbs to follow. With the X-ray blueprint of what could be a new POI, we could infer much of what’s to come.
Helping the community with a couple of macro zoom-ins and speculations, Ako and FNBRintel chimed in with their takes. Summing it up, it’s a good guess that there will be a Heist theme somewhere within the new season. The X-ray cutout of the new POI certainly looks like it belongs in a heist or spy thriller.
Another exciting idea is that the new POI would be filled with cameras, guards, vaults and more. And speaking of vaults, a small picture within picture seems to suggest that the Drum Gun will be making a return.
There’s also a crescent structure in the background that could represent a new piece of technology tied to the story, or perhaps a Blood Moon eclipse, as FNBRintel suggests. Zooming in really close, we can see some palm trees, which could indicate that the next biome could be arid or a desert.
Lastly, there’s a set of glyphs seen within some of the cutouts that could represent Apparatus Glyphs, though might be a stretch. They could also be worth decoding after crossreferencing with glyphs that have appeared in Fortnite before.
The plot thickens with a second teaser
Without letting the community fully dissect the teaser, Epic has released another one. This teaser is more straightforward but no less intriguing. In it, we can see an as-of-yet-unknown character with a crescent in the background. She seems to be standing in a web of lasers, once more indicative of a heist or spy theme.
Some fans have speculated that the woman is either Envoy or Lynx, but it’s just as likely to be an entirely new character. We’ll have to wait and see as more information comes out. However, this does seem to indicate that the crescent motif will play a larger role in the new Season’s theme.
