Does Redfall Have Multiplayer?

Does Redfall Have Multiplayer?

Arkane is well known for their epic single player experiences. From Deathloop to Dishonored, every title has been stellar and brilliant. Yet with their new title Redfall being multiplayer-orientated, what does this mean? We’ll tell you!

Redfall – Does It Have Multiplayer?

Yes, Redfall does have multiplayer, but only in a co-op campaign experience; you can play together with friends. That is all. There are no other modes, such as PvP or a separate multiplayer campaign.

Don’t get me wrong. The multiplayer is really fun as you explore Redfall together while killing zombies, clearing nests, and seeing your friends use their character’s whacky abilities.

How Many People Can Play Redfall?

You can play with up to four people in Redfall, so invite three friends with you as you hunt for loot in the open world! Each person can play the same character if they wish. Let’s be honest. People who want to play the healer class/character are few and far between!

It’s important to keep in mind that there’s no shared progression for co-op gameplay. This means that only the host will have their campaign missions saved. However, don’t worry – other players will retain their character levels and any loot they’ve collected.

Is There Any Story Difference From Single Player to Multiplayer in Redfall?

However, it’s very important to note that the campaign has no difference when playing multiplayer. What I think multiplayer is that it’s basically single player but playing with friends. Redfall was developed with single player in mind, this goes from missions to difficulty, but the co-op multiplayer features feel like it was stuck on with duct tape, as multiplayer games are the norm nowadays.

Just don’t go thinking you’ll get a whole new story and experience playing multiplayer with friends. It’s the same single-player experience, but now you’ve got company.
