You will need some special materials if you want to fully use the new features in Loot Reborn. This article will explain how to get Obducide, Ingolith, and Neathiron in Diablo 4 Season 4.

Loot Reborn, that is Season 4 of Diablo 4, brought a lot of new features and mechanics to the game. This proved to be a great move, as more and more players claim that this is the best Season so far. It added more enemies to Helltides, a new Boss, and superb mechanics to modify and upgrade your gear, called Tempering and Masterworking. Masterworking is the last step in creating your ultimate weapon, but it requires some special materials, which are not that easy to come by. So, let’s see how to get Obducide, Ingolith, and Neathiron in Diablo 4 Season 4.

How to Get Masterworking Materials in Diablo 4 Season 4

Masterworking is a new mechanic in Loot Reborn that allows you to improve the affixes that your equipment has. You can Masterwork an item up to 12 times, and each rank requires Gold and materials, some of them hard to come by. Those rare materials are Obducide, Ingolith, and Neathiron, each harder to come by than the last. Thankfully, they are all found in the same place.

How to Get Obducide, Ingolith, and Neathiron

To get Obducide, Ingolith, and Neathiron you have to venture into The Pit of the Artificers. Once inside, you have 10 minutes to kill a set amount of monsters and defeat the final boss. If you manage all that before the timer runs out, you will be rewarded with one type of Masterworking material.

The material in question depends on the Tier of The Pit that you just completed. The Obducite is the lowest rarity one, Ingolith is the one after that, and Neathiron is the rarest of them all, only appearing on the higher Tiers of the Pit.

The Pit Tiers where each Masterworking Material drops are:

  • Obducite – from Tier 1 to Tier 29
  • Ingolith – from Tier 30 to Tier 59
  • Neathiron – from 60 onwards

So, for example., if you successfully complete a Pit run at Tier 35, you will get Ingolith.

Moreover, you can exchange a higher rarity Masterworking material at the Alchemist, for some of the lower rarity ones. You can turn Neathiron into some Ingolith, and Ingolith into a bunch of Obducide. Note that this does not work the other way around, ie, you cannot turn Obducide into Ingolith, nor Ingolith into Neathiron. It has to be earned.

So, in short, you can get Obducide, Ingolith, and Neathiron by completing runs in The Pit. The higher the Tier of the Pit that you chose, the higher the rarity of the Masterworking item.
