There is a special trial for Diablo 4 during Xbox Free Play Days happening between October 19 and October 22. Players can download and try Diablo 4 in a 10-hour free trial period. This offer stands no matter if you are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass or not.
How to download Diablo 4 free trial on Xbox?
Players who want to take this opportunity to trial Diablo 4 for free can do so from the Xbox Store. Follow these steps:
- Launch the Microsoft Store app from your Xbox console.
- Find the Diablo 4 game page.
- Pick any game version (Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate).
- Scroll down to In This Bundle section and select Diablo 4.
- Find the Free Trial, Download Now button and press it.
- The game will download to your console and be ready for trial.

Can you continue playing Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass?
Unfortunately, after the trial, you will have to buy the game to continue playing, even if you’re subscribed to Xbox Game Pass. However, it has been hinted that Diablo 4 might be coming to Game Pass at a later date, though no sooner than next year.
