While you’re playing Diablo IV, you can sometimes wonder how to get Unique items to drop. This guide will explain everything you need to know and more.
A large portion of your character’s strength in Diablo 4 late game comes from Unique items. These powerful pieces of gear can enhance your class abilities or provide major effects that can greatly improve your performance.
However, getting one of these items can be difficult because their drop rates are very low for that reason. Speaking of scarcity, they can even come in Sacred and Ancestral rarity, which greatly enhances their power level.
Some players might not even be aware that these items can drop or how to look for them. That’s why this guide will explain all the ways you can get Unique items in Diablo 4.
Ways to Get Unique Items in Diablo 4
Before you can have a chance of getting any Unique items, you need to complete a few steps first. The chance for Uniques to drop depends on the World Tier you’re playing in, and only starts after reaching World Tier 3: Nightmare.
To be able to do that, you’ll first need to complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon after finishing the campaign. Only then will you be able to increase the World Tier, where Unique items and those of the Sacred variant can drop.
Similarly, World Tier 4: Torment provides a higher chance of Unique drops, and only there will you have a chance to get Uniques with the Ancestral quality.
Once that’s done, the Unique items will have a chance to drop from monsters’ loot. The largest chance of getting Uniques is from:
- Nightmare Dungeons
- Helltides
- World Bosses
Nightmare Dungeons
Reward chests at the end of Nightmare Dungeons can provide you with a good source of Unique items. The higher the level of the dungeon, the better chance you’ll have of getting Uniques. If you have a good source of Nightmare Sigils, running these dungeons is a great way to farm Unique items.
Helltides
The Mystery chests that you get at the end of Helltide region events are another great source of Unique items. These events are pretty easy to do with other players, making them a worthwhile place to farm Uniques.
World Bosses
Another great source of Uniques are the World Bosses that spawn around the map on a timer. This is especially true on Torment difficulty. These bosses don’t take too long to kill with other players around. For that reason, it’s good to always check them out when they’re up while you play.
