Are you having trouble catching fish at night in Dave the Diver? This guide will teach you all you need to know about night-time fishing in MINTROCKET’s awesome new game.
Fishing during the day in Dave the Diver can be challenging, but pales in comparison to how it is during the night. That’s when some of the more dangerous denizens of the depths come out to play. Still, that makes night-time fishing very lucrative and offers plenty of opportunities for Dave to develop his business. How to Fish at Night in Dave the Diver
Fishing at night isn’t something that Dave can do from the start. You will first need to unlock it during the second chapter of the game. Namely, once you’ve completed the Sea People Language Translator quest. Armed with the UV Lights from the previous quests, you’ll be well-equipped to descend into the dark depths.
Now that you’re able to dive during the night, there are a few considerations before you start. First, you can only dive at night once, so always make sure that you’re fully equipped and ready. We recommend focusing on the following weapons if you’re looking to hunt fish at night:
- Harpoon poison tip
- Grenade launcher
- Red Sniper rifle
Make sure you have plenty of ammo for your weapons. We would recommend using the Harpoon with a poison tip, which leads to prolonged damage to some of the more powerful fish you’ll come up against.
Elsewhere, you may want to try out the grenade launcher, which deals massive damage but can be hard to aim. For those looking for the most precise weapon, we’d recommend trying out the red sniper rifle. This balances power and accuracy, with bullets traveling in a straight line. You just need to anticipate where your target will swim to, and then let rip.
It’s worth npting that a full third of your evening work hours will be consumed while you perform the night dive, so make sure you plan you. Lastly, the fish that show up during the night are much stronger, so always bear that in mind when preparing. Moreover, even sharks are swimming closer to the water’s surface during the night.
To offset this, many rewards and fish that you can catch during the night will help you in the game. For instance, one of the quests you get soon after unlocking night diving will require you to catch a Moray Eel. This fish is needed in order to prepare Moray Curry, so being able to fish at night is crucial.
