RAM is one of the most essential cyberware stats in Cyberpunk 2077 since it’s vital for Hacking and Breaching. This means that players are scrambling to level it up and hunt down more RAM as they progress through the story. If you’re also wondering how to get more RAM in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, here’s how.
How to Get More RAM in Cyberpunk 2077
There are several ways to get more RAM in Cyberpunk 2077, ranging from improving the Intelligence stat, and leveling up your Quickhacking and Breach Protocol skills, to buying items like Cyberdecks and RAM Jolts. Improving V’s RAM capacity through these methods will help you perform advanced hacks as well as perform multiple hacks in succession. Purchase a Better Cyberdeck
The most obvious way you could go about increasing their RAM is to purchase a Cyberdeck with more RAM. These Cyberdecks are unlocked by increasing your reputation to a certain level, after which they’ll be available to purchase from various vendors, called Ripperdocs, around the map.
Although Cyberdecks are expensive investments, ranging from €$5000 for common ones to €$35000 for legendary ones, they are well worth their prices. However, keep in mind that every Cyberdeck has various stats and perks you need to consider other than RAM, so don’t go and buy a Cyberdeck just because it has the most RAM available.
Increase Your Intelligence Stat
You can also obtain more RAM by raising your character’s Intelligence stat. This can be done by levelling up and spending attribute points on the Intelligence stat. Upgrading Intelligence, you’ll get a 4% boost in RAM per level and a maximum of 7 RAM units if you upgrade Intelligence to level 20. A higher Intelligence will also help you regenerate spent RAM faster and improve the chances of a successful hack.
Increase Your Quickhacking Skill
By performing quickhacks successfully, you will improve the Quickhacking skill, which rewards the player with a permanent +1 RAM unit for reaching levels 5, 10, and 20. Over time, this stat will max out on its own while you are progressing through the game, but if you want to speed things along, you can always grind Quickhacks. Keep in mind that hacking the same thing more than once does not count towards the advancement of the skill.
Increase Your Breach Protocol Skill
Similarly to getting better at Quickhacking, you can improve the Breach Protocol skill by playing the hacking mini-game, opening doors, performing tasks requiring the Intelligence attribute, and performing Quickhacks on devices. For reaching levels 8 and 13 of the Breach Protocol skill, you will be awarded a permanent +1 RAM unit each time.
Use RAM Jolts
Another cheeky way to temporarily increase RAM is by using a RAM Jolt, which increases V’s RAM by 2 for the next 30 minutes. This consumable item can be pretty useful in certain situations, like when you are about to start a job or enter an area with a large number of enemies.
