All players are aware that a big part of this game is romancing. There are a lot of options to pick from, ranging from Shadowheart to Halsin. Of course, some characters are simply off-limits, which led to an age-old debate. If you could romance a non-romanceable Baldur’s Gate 3 character, who would you pick?

Players Pick the Most Alluring Baldur’s Gate 3 Character

Some of these answers were highly expected, others not so much. After all, the anonymity of Reddit gave people the opportunity to share their crushes without feeling judged.

An Artificer companion was one of the top choices, actually, two of them. The first one was Dammon with more than 680 upvotes. One player, skip6235, noted: “I wish there were cannon romances for the origin characters if you are playing a Tav/Durge. Dammon has such an obvious crush on Karlach (and can you blame him?)”.

The second Artificer players chose was Barcus. One Redditor, moistwaffleboi, stated: “I absolutely adore him and I’d love nothing more than to kiss his forehead and hold his hand or carry him around on my back”. Another player added: “I want to romance Barcus with every fiber of Tav’s being. Every line of Tav’s code yearns for each pixel of Barcus”.

Rolan, the so-called Mr. Darcy of Baldur’s Gate 3, was also on the players’ list, with more than 700 upvotes. Honest_Carob_8621 explained: “For some reason I find his dorky arrogance endearing”. Silly_Goose contributed: “I love that he’s arrogant and grumpy, but also caring and admits that he needs help”.

One Non-Romanceable Character Won Many Hearts

Don’t worry, we saved the best for last! The top non-romanceable character according to Baldur’s Gate 3 players is none other than Orin. She managed to collect more than 1100 upvotes combined.

One player, ankhcinammon, said: “Mine’s Orin because I can fix murder mommy”. Well, you’d hardly be able to fix her, but other players didn’t mind. AzureMiles noted: “I know I can’t fix her, but she can absolutely make me worse before ritualistically murdering me”.

Some players couldn’t stop themselves from mentioning Durge when talking about Orin. Ravus_Sapiens recalled: “Durge is the child of Bhaal, and Orin is both the great-granddaughter and the granddaughter of Bhaal, which makes her the niece of Durge”. Another player added: “Their family tree is a wreath”.

If your top pick isn’t listed here, just remember, we’re all different. We have different tastes, different traditions, and different strategies for playing Baldur’s Gate 3. That’s what’s wonderful about this game, everyone can find what suits them and enjoy it on their own terms.
