How To Leave Camp With Fast Travel

The quickest way to exit camp is using the fast travel menu. This allows you to choose from a list of fast travel locations and then instantly travel there. 

  1. Press M on your keyword to open the in game map
  2. Choose a Waypoint to fast travel to from the list in the upper right-hand side of the screen
  3. After selecting a Waypoint, you will be instantly taken there

  2. Interact with the bedroll or fire by clicking on it to open a menu.

  4. Note after your long rest, you will be returned to camp the following morning

Another simple way to leave your camp is to utilise the HUD across the bottom of your screen with the interaction bar.

  1. Locate the small fire icon at the far right of your interactions bar
  2. Select Rest to restore resources
  3. Select Long Rest
  4. Choose your camp supplies to use for the rest (this has to equal 40)
  5. Select Long Rest at the bottom of the menu
  6. This should automatically transport you back to the last place you were before you went to camp.

  • Restore HP (Hit points) and Spell Slots with long rests and short rests
  • Interact with characters e.g. Scratch the dog or the Owlbear Cub
  • Swap party members to further your quests or visit NPCs. 
  • Interact with allies and access their storage
  • Respec your character by speaking to Withers
  • Recruit Hirelings
  • Organise your supplies

Long rests fully restore health and spell slots, requiring a safe camp location and 40 camp supplies. Short rests restore a portion of health and spell slots, simply requiring a safe location and 1-minute rest. Camp supplies can be obtained by looting enemies, purchasing from merchants or finding these from the scattered barrels and crates.

If you are in the middle of a conversation with a companion, you must finish the conversation before you can leave camp. Otherwise, the conversation may be interrupted or the game may glitch.
