Baldur’s Gate is located in the Western Heartlands of Faerûn on the coast near the Chiontar River, and the entrance to the area can be found on the western side of the Moonrise Tower. Players up to this point in the story will first have to explore the Moonrise Tower and defeat Ketheric Thorm.
The game will prompt players if they would like to finish up any quests or other events in the areas before proceeding to the fabled city and continuing on with the story. Players should also create a save at this point, just in case they would like to go back if anything was missed.
