In the Rosymorn Monastery, there is a puzzle requiring you to find certain Ceremonial weapons. This article will explain all Ceremonial weapon locations in Baldur’s Gate 3.

As with any great RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3 has its share of quests and puzzles. At Rosymorn Monastery, located on the Mountain Path in Act 2, you will come across a Stained-Glass Window surrounded by four pedestals. Each pedestal requires a specific Ceremonial Weapon to be placed on it, to complete the puzzle and reward you with Dawnmaster’s Crest. You need it to safely take the Legendary Mace – Blood of Lathander, perfect for Clerics. But how do we solve the puzzle, what are the Ceremonial Weapon Locations in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Ceremonial Weapon Locations in Baldur’s Gate 3

There are four Ceremonial Weapons scattered about the Monastery. They don’t serve a great purpose in combat, except that they are needed for the Stained-Glass Window puzzle. You must place each weapon on the appropriate pedestal. The weapons in question are:

  • Ceremonial Longsword
  • Ceremonial Mace
  • Ceremonial Warhammer
  • Ceremonial Battleaxe

Ceremonial Longsword

This one is already on the right pedestal, so no need to do anything about it.

Ceremonial Mace

The Mace is in the possession of a drunk Kobold, on the first floor of the Monastery, in the Firewine storage room. Be careful, because the barrels are flammable and any fire spells can set off an explosion. Important: you don’t have to use the Ceremonial Mace for this, any mace-type weapon will suffice. You can find a Rusty Mace when you jump through the broken window behind one of the pedestals, in the room where the puzzle is. Once outside, you will see that there is a broken staircase. You have to jump down, either suffering damage from falling or by using some spells, like Feather Fall or Misty Step. Once down, head into the small door and at the end of the corridor, next to the window by the rubble, and inside you will find the Rusty Mace, on the floor.

Ceremonial Battleaxe

From the room with the Stained-Glass Window puzzle, take the hallway leading South. At its end, there is a gap, on the left. Jump over it and you will come across an Enchanted Door. You’ll have to pick its lock to get through, and inside is a dormitory, and the Ceremonial Battleaxe is lying on the floor. There is some furniture blocking the entrance, so you have to move it, jump over it, or destroy it. Be warned that a Guardian of Faith protects the Battleaxe, so you will probably have to fight it for it.

Ceremonial Warhammer

Just outside the dormitory where the Ceremonial Battleaxe there are Knotted Roots that you use to climb up to the roof. Once there, you will see a nest and two Giant Eagles guarding it. The Warhammer is inside the nest, so you can either fight the Eagles, talk to them using Speak With Animals or use a stealthy approach, with Invisibility or something like that.

What to Do With Ceremonial Weapons?

Once you have the missing Ceremonial Weapons, you just have to place them on the correct pedestals, in the room where the Stained-Glass Window is. The correct order is as follows:

  1. Ceremonial Longsword — Dawnmaster Welkinglory
  2. Ceremonial Mace — Dawnmaster Stockhold
  3. Ceremonial Warhammer — Dawnmaster Seed
  4. Ceremonial Battleaxe — Dawnmaster Vaseid

Once placed correctly, an opening will appear in the wall, in which is a pouch containing the Dawnmaster’s Crest.
