In Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, one of the first side quests you’ll pick up is Nehal’s Calling, after killing Al-Ghul. This requires you to find the hidden place north of Aqarquf Dunes to find out more about a mysterious symbol that appeared in the game’s prologue. You’re provided with a single hint that states the hidden place can be found near an oasis. While you might be able to find this location easily enough, you must start your quest from the Dunes, an area you probably haven’t discovered yet. Here’s how to find the Dunes and set out for the next location.

Where Are the Aqarquf Dunes in Assassin’s Credd Mirage?
To get to the hidden place north of Aqarquf Dunes, you’ll first need to reach the dunes, themselves. They can be found between Anbarr and Baghdad in the northern region of the Wilderness, as marked in yellow on the above map. Note that the location is a landmark rather than a fixed point on your map. Because of this, you’ll want to set a waypoint in the area to make travel run more smoothly.
The best place to set out on your journey is Anbar. From there, Basim can travel by camel to make it through the desert and reach the dunes. Once you arrive, be sure to unlock the local synchronization point. This will allow you to fast travel back to the location should you need to return in the future.
How to Find the Hidden Place North of Aqarquf Dunes
Once you’ve made it to Aqarquf Dunes, head north toward the oasis, as instructed. You should be able to find it easily enough, though you’ll also see a small pond marked on your map to help you get there. Upon arrival, you’ll need to find a hidden entrance just beneath the water’s surface. On the table near the pond, you can find a note that will show you the exact spot where you need to dive. Enkidu can help you spot it without the note.
With your eye on the entrance, hop into the water and head for the opening. This will lead to a hidden passageway, which extends to another room. However, you’ll have trouble progressing any further without enough Mysterious Shards. You’ll need 10 to move forward, so you’ll likely need to make a significant amount of progress in the game before you can reach the end of this quest.
Fortunately, you’ve already found the path that leads to your destination. Simply return once you’ve collected enough Shards to complete the side quest.
