Assassin’s Creed Mirage has hit the shelves, this time on a smaller scale. Going back to its original stealthy playstyle, instead of the former RPG style, we want to know what is Assassin’s Creed Mirage map size.
AC Valhalla had a map spanning almost a hundred square kilometers. That has led to some comments from the players that the game is a little repetitive and a chore. With that in mind, Ubisoft has drastically reduced the size of the map in AC Mirage. But just how much? Let’s see.
How Large Is The Map In Assassin’s Creed Mirage?
Given that the game has been released, we can state that the full map size of Assassin’s Creed Mirage is approximately 13 square kilometers. That takes into account the whole wilderness and everything, which you are not likely to explore completely. The city of Baghdad, the main playing area, is around 2.3 square kilometers. That still makes the entire map bigger than in the other titles before AC Origins. But the main playing area is more on par with Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Where Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage Set?
The majority of the game will happen in the city of Baghdad. It takes place in the 9th century. during the Golden Age of Islam, as the historians call it. Naturally, the developers have paid much attention to making it as realistic as they can. AC devs are known for recreating real-life locations as detailed as possible. The most famous example of this is Assassin’s Creed Unity’s recreation of Paris’ Notre Dame cathedral, which was used to help out during the reconstruction after the fire in April 2019. That being said, we can expect that the recreation of Baghdad is as accurate as possible, with the knowledge available at the moment.
