The First Descendant Fans Spot Dual Pistols in the Nier Automata Collab Trailer — New Weapon Type Soon?

Dual Pistols have been high on the list of player requests for a while now. And after the recent Nier Automata crossover trailer, the players speculate that we’re going to get Dual Pistols in The First Descendant, sometime soon.

The TFD anniversary began with a pretty long devlive video, where Nexon showcased and talked about all the new and cool stuff that will be added to the game. The pool, new swimsuit skins, character rebalance, and special events (though some are not without issues) are already in the game, and the video also showed some cool statistics, the details about Nell, more info in the upcoming Season, and the long-awaited Nier: Automata collaboration trailer. On that last note, this short but sweet trailer showed what the Nier Automata skins will look like in the game, and also had the players speculate about the possible addition of Dual Pistols in The First Descendant.

After the Nier Automata Trailer, Fans Think That We’re About to Get Dual Pistols in The First Descendant

The Nier Automata trailer showed us a couple of pretty cool things: the new Nier-inspired Skins and a Sword. Nexon already confirmed that swords are on the way, but fans noticed another weapon that no one mentioned – Dual Pistols. Are we getting a new weapon type as well?

While there is no official word from the devs on Dual Pistols, the fans are already speculating on how they would work. While being able to pick which existing Ultimate Pistols/Hand Cannons to combine would be awesome, it would create so, so many issues. So, if we are getting Dual Pistols, they would almost definitely be a separate Ultimate Weapon.

Now, what are the chances of those hypothetical Dual Pistols appearing in the game? Well, while we can’t confirm anything, we doubt that Nexon would put them in the Nier Automata collab trailer just for the fun of it. The skins are coming, the swords are coming, logic dictates that the Dual Pistols would be coming as well. On the other hand, that wouldn’t be the first time Nexon put something in the trailer just for the aesthetics. Nexon has already revealed two upcoming Ultimate weapons (Eraser and Exterminator), and neither of them are Dual Pistols. But, somewhere in the future…it is possible!
