Anniversary Hype Begins – The First Descendant Marks Year One with New Events

The First Descendant celebrates their first birthday with a couple of in-game anniversary events.
Nexon officially began the first anniversary celebrations for The First Descendant, marking a full year since the release of their most popular looter-shooter. The in-game celebration consists of special events, including log-in rewards and a bunch of new missions for players to complete. With Season 3 on the horizon, the fans are getting more and more excited about TFD, and the birthday celebrations came at the perfect moment. Now, let’s see all those anniversary events for The First Descendant in more detail.
The First Descendant Anniversary Events
To celebrate the first anniversary, Nexon released a couple of events in The First Descendant. They were added in the Patch 1.2.22, which also brought some content improvements, bug fixes, and the famous second character rebalance (which the fans are surprisingly happy with, compared to the first one). We got two in-game events, and one browser-based, so let’s see what that is all about.

Event 2 – Anais’s 1st Anniversary Gift Workshop
Complete missions to collect 1st Anniversary Tokens and use them at the Token Exchange Shop for various growth items and 1st Anniversary customization items.

- 1st Anniversary Tokens can be used at the [Event] Anais’s 1st Anniversary Gift Workshop.
- Please make sure to spend all Tokens before the event ends.
- Exchanged rewards cannot be returned or exchanged to other rewards.
Event 3 – (Homepage) Grab the Breakthrough
This event begins with a pretty sweet new feature, and that is the summary of your TFD career, showing which character you played the most, which Colossi you have battled the most, and so on. That will give you 5 Tickets that you can use in the event’s game, where you will get some Anniversary Tokens, and there is also a very small chance to get the coveted acrylic merch. Additionally, you will get the special “Victorious Together” Chest Attachment for completing the summary.

As always, the events are very well received, as we all love freebies. But, the fans are still on the fence about the browser events, with a lot of console players annoyed with the fact that only PC users can benefit from it (it does not work on mobiles, apparently ). We thought Nexon chose to abandon the idea of browser events, but we have been proven wrong. But still, the anniversary is so full of various events and improvements, and the fans can surely forgive them for this slip-up.
