Hades 2 early access has been available since May 6. Many players are already enjoying the game, supplying the rest of the fans with helpful insights and tips on how to use a frequently overlooked weapon. The weapon in question is none other than the Moonstone Axe. Some described it as ”chunky” and ”hard to use”, but true fans know it’s a diamond in the rough.
An Overlooked Hades 2 Weapon Dazzles the Players
A Reddit user named Fealnort issued an ode to the Axe. They called it: ”a BEAST”. This player went on to explain all the amazing things you can achieve with a weapon that is considered to be ”lowly”. ”You are literally mowing down rooms in seconds, and it’s FAST if you get some augments.”. The helpful fan also added some much-needed tips! ”You can reposition with a dash right before or during the final smash of your basic combo. You are a mid-range weapon. If enemies with armor get too close you won’t be able to dodge easily. Keep spamming glyphs to keep the enemies at bay, you can stand inside while you spin and be at the perfect distance.”
BloiceyBoy added: ”I f*****g love the axe, Arthur was my favorite weapon in the first cause I love big meaty hits, now you give me an Axe? My favorite weapon type and it plays similar to Arthur AND has a block? Supergiant I kneel to you!” Many others chimed in with words of encouragement for first-time Axe users. Gk786 contributed: ”The furious whirlwind is an instant spin-to-win upgrade. It deals an ungodly amount of damage. That plus either Demeter or Apollo attack buff should be a one-stop shop to victory. The axe is like 100x better than the other options.”
Another great point was made by the OP, Fealnort. They said: ”…the blades have a more intuitive feeling and feel better at first. But the stopping and raw power of the Axe really is great. I was afraid to use it at first as I thought it was gonna be Shield of Chaos 2.0 and I REALLY hated this weapon in Hades 1. After getting the hang of the timings of the attacks, it’s great.”
It’s a Long Path to the Underworld
Our advice is to ignore your hesitations and try out this wonderful weapon. You might be pleasantly surprised. Of course, it can’t be everyone’s cup of tea. If you find yourself not enjoying it, don’t worry, there are so many other weapons to choose from. CookieKopter suggests trying the Witch’s Staff, ”especially its attack Omega”. Sometimes the weapons go overlooked by players, but not in the case of Hades 2!
