Is the game free to play?
Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently in early access since September 2022, with developers’ earlier announcements that they plan for the game to eventually become free to play. The game’s full game release was announced for December 5, 2023. However, another change was also announced, which states that the game will not be free to play. Developers explained the reasoning behind the switch, stating that moving from a free-to-play economy model will allow them to deliver a premium experience for all players.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Editions
Currently, the game can be purchased as a Founder’s Pack Edition that includes Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions. This will change on December 5 with the full release of the game when you will be able to purchase the Base game, Expansion pass, or Gold edition that combines the base game with the expansion pass. There is also a Cozy Edition that includes a physical copy of the game.

Players find themselves in the role of a caretaker of the valley that is populated by various characters from Disney and Pixar cartoons.
