Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Date

Ubisoft recently showed off more of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the latest game in the long-running franchise at the PlayStation Showcase 2023. The 13th major game in the series will return to the original games’ roots before the open-world RPG that started with Assassin’s Creed Origins, but when exactly is the game going to release? This guide will help players answer the question of the Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date and what the story for the upcoming game is.

When Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage Coming Out?

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date is currently scheduled for Thursday, October 5, 2023. It will be releasing for these platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Amazon Luna, as well as iOS later in 2024.

Members of the Ubisoft+ subscription service will be able to access the game with their membership on release day. It will also be available for purchase in a Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. The latter offers a Prince of Persia–inspired outfit, animal skins, digital artbook and soundtrack, and more alongside the pre-order bonus of an additional mission The Forty Thieves.

What Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage About?

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will take place in Baghdad, Iraq during the 9th Century beginning in the year 861. The game will be set decades before the events of the previously released game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

The story will follow Basim Ibn Is’haq, who was first introduced in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as he begins as a lowly street thief. Through a series of events in this coming-of-age story, he will become a member of the Assassin Brotherhood and players will see him evolve from a simple apprentice to a master assassin. The game will also explore more into the group of the original Assassin faction, The Hidden Ones, which were founded by Aya and Bayek in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
