With so many characters from the Legend of Zelda Breath of the World having been confirmed to be returning in the other game set in the same world, Tears of the Kingdom, many players have been wondering whether everyone’s favorite giant Korok will be coming back too. After all, he had one of the most memorable quests in BOTW and added a couple of hours worth of extra gameplay for several players.
Well, the answer will come as either good or bad news for you depending on how long you took hunting for the Korok seeds in BOTW.
Do you need to collect Korok Seeds for Hestu in Tears of the Kingdom?
Now, will you have to collect Korok Seeds in Tears of the Kingdom for Hestu? Well, most likely. There are several reasons we think this, but the biggest one is that one of the trailers for Tears of the Kingdom had what looked to be a Korok Flower hidden in it. Players of BOTW will know that the only character who asks us to collect Korok Seeds is Hatsu.
Additionally, there’s also the fact that several characters of note have been confirmed to be returning in Tears of the Kingdom, such as Riju, Sidon, Teba, and his son Tulin. Therefore, it would make sense for Hestu, one of the most memorable characters from BOTW to make a return in the sequel.
One thing, however, is that we highly doubt the quest Hatsu gives us will have the same rewards as the one he gave us in Breath of the Wild. Instead of the increased storage space that we got as a reward for collecting enough Korok Seeds for Hatsu before, we’re thinking he might give us something more interesting. Fortunately, if need be, you’ll be able to find the seeds in no time using one of the many vehicles in TOTK.
