Many of you may be wondering if we’ll get to search for those elusive Korok in Tears of the Kingdom. Koroks were an essential part of the Breath of the Wild experience, and it was almost irresistible to not be drawn to random objects in the open world hoping to find a Korok.
With the expanded world of Tears of the Kingdom, we wonder if Nintendo will be able to scatter Koroks across Hyrule once more. Koroks were plentiful in Breath of the Wild, and encouraged exploration. Players were also met with various puzzles before they can discover the Korok and claim their prize.
Will Koroks be in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Many will be delighted to hear that we have confirmed sightings of Koroks from the Tears of the Kingdom footage released so far. In the gameplay demo held a while back, you can spot a Korok near the side of the road. However, since then, Nintendo has invited large creators to come out and try a couple of hours of Tears of the Kingdom.

In fact, Nintendo even allowed these individuals to record some of the footage. This footage showed us that players were able to find Koroks in the Sky Islands, similar to how they did in Breath of the Wild. So, you can look forward to a game experience full of puzzle solving and rock chucking as you try to catch these mysterious little leaf people.
How many Koroks in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Breath of the Wild had 900 Koroks to be found and 900 Korok Seeds to be collected for various rewards from Hestu, such as inventory expansion. Safe to assume Koroks will serve a similar role in Tears of the Kingdom. However, due to how much the world has been expanded, with reports suggesting that its size rivals Elden Ring, we can expect many more Koroks to be scattered across Hyrule. We estimate the number to easily be above 1500 Koroks if Nintendo is going for the same approach. However, they would have to change up the rewards a bit to make this experience worthwhile.
