I’ve finally got my hands on Redfall, the highly anticipated first-person shooter game developed by Arkane Studios, and I’ve been loving it. How Long Does It Take To Beat Redfall
You can definitely finish the main story missions of Redfall in under 15 hours, maybe even a bit less. But if you love completing side missions and exploring, that number will naturally increase and easily exceed 20 plus. For all you completionists out there, finding the 100 Grave Locks alone is a time-consuming task, and without using a guide, it’ll take X amount of hours, as in my experience, they are mostly off the beaten track. Add more hours to that if you want to unlock each character’s cosmetic items. There’s a lot to do, but 50% of it feels like padding.

Is Redfall Similar to Borderlands?
Playing Redfall, I noticed it has some similarities to Borderlands, like the focus on loot, exploration, side missions, and battling enemies. However, you’ll see the differences between the two games once you dig deeper.
While Borderlands is known for its humor and how it complements the gameplay, I found the characters in Redfall to be quite annoying. Borderlands showers players with unique and interesting loot, whereas in Redfall, the loot felt mundane, and even the best weapon I found quickly became useless.
As for combat, Redfall’s mechanics can feel clunky, and it’s tough to withstand enemy hits. The game tries to balance this by increasing health pools, but since enemies level up with you, the damage they inflict remains significant. In contrast, Borderlands offers smooth gameplay with shields, various elements, and satisfying shooting mechanics. So, although Redfall has some similarities to Borderlands, the experience is quite different.
