Riot Forge are getting ready to publish their next title set in the League of Legends universe, Mageseeker. Developed by Digital Sun, the game is a pixel art style ARPG. Players will take the role of Sylas, a dangerous revolutionary looking to free to Demacia from the anti-magic ruling party.
Many of the previous games released by Riot Forge have been successful, with Ruined King being the most notable. Mageseeker seems poised to follow in its footsteps as a fantastic game in its own right that broadens the lore of Runeterra. When Does Mageseeker Release?
Mageseeker releases on April 18, 2023.
There are no early access methods or preorder perks related to release, so this will be the release date for all players.

What Platforms Will Mageseeker Release On?
Mageseeker is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Currently there is no word on whether or not the game will make its way to mobile. Digital Sun’s previous title, Moonlighter, didn’t release on mobile until a few years after the game’s initial release. There is no confirmation that Digital Sun will be doing the same with Mageseeker.
Will Champions From League of Legends Appear in Mageseeker?
Yes, Champions from League of Legends will appear in Mageseeker. While we don’t know the full cast, there have been a few characters noted as important to the story:
- Sylas
- Garen
- Lux
- Jarvan IV
- Shyvana
- Morgana
It is possible that there may be more, but these are the ones confirmed on the game’s official site. There are some other Champions related to those that are confirmed, such as Quinn, Sona, Fiora, and Kayle, so chances are high that we will see other Champions at some point.
Mageseeker Teaser Trailer
Mageseeker’s teaser trailer gives players a look at Sylas, his motivations, and his backstory. Held captive in Demacia for the crime of being a magic user, he seeks to tear down the establishment and grant freedom for all people, whatever the cost.
Mageseeker Gameplay Trailer
The gameplay trailer for Mageseeker shows off some of the slick melee combat players can expect, as well as Sylas’ signature ability. Sylas can steal magic spells from his opponents, meaning magic friends and foes will fuel his power. The ARPG combat looks crisp, and the mixture of melee and magic should make for a unique gameplay experience.
