Hacker Says They’re Paid To Keep You off Warzone Caldera

An operative with a mask in Warzone 2.

In a surprising reveal from hackers Its_Iron spoke to, there’s actually money in keeping players away from the original Warzone. A company is paying hackers to ruin the fun of streamers, large and small, for the intended purpose of keeping players off of the game.

There are many, including ZLaner, who joke that this is Activision trying to keep players off other games. While this may sound silly, it makes sense. Warzone Caldera has grown its player base while Warzone 2 has lost theirs.

Even the Call of Duty account is getting ratioed by big streamers saying Warzone 1 is better.

One of the bigger hackers said that there was money given to those who could keep players away from Warzone Caldera.

The hacker in question is called “BellGaming” and has gotten to multiple streamers already. There have been multiple reports of bounty systems in Warzone. The way a bounty system works is you need to bother the streamers so much that they quit the game for the day.

When you achieve that, you get paid. Some players dislike streamers and would rather ruin their day. This is the first time we’ve heard of the purpose being to make players hate the original Warzone.

This may not even be true and may just be a hacker making things up, but it makes sense. To be honest, the rumor that it’s Activision trying to move players back to Warzone 2.0 has some merit. If Activision shuts down the original Warzone servers, they’ll lose players and cause an uproar.

Just getting players back to Warzone 2 due to the hacker situation would be preferred. If BellGaming is lying, but he seemed genuine in the video where he spoke to TSM its_iron.

“It’s not a specific person, it’s—I can’t really say much but basically what I can say is that they do not want you in this game.”

BellGaming supposedly signed an NDA, so he couldn’t say much. However, this could just be him causing trouble, as many hackers like to. We can never discount the possibility that he’s just a troll.
