With heavy hitters like Horizon, Nioh, Yakuza 0, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, there’s no shortage of fantastic exclusives on PlayStation 4 this year. That said, Sony continues to galvanise this lineup with a stalwart range of remasters. As with PaRappa, LocoRoco hasn’t been idly slapped together – there’s a thoughtfulness and diligence there, preserving the original look and feel of the game in a way modern audiences can now appreciate.
"There are new PlayStation Plus tiers and I've been enjoying many remasters after subscribing to Premium so here are my 10 favourites." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
"Originally released in 2008 for the PSP, LocoRoco 2 was one of the games that most marked me as a player, having spent many hours of my life in an attempt to complete everything the game had to offer. It was with great enthusiasm that I received word that the game was on its way to PlayStation 4, now with improved visuals and trophies."
May: A game that you couldn’t help but feel good about yourself and be genuinely cheerful. A nice change of pace; away from vicious and rigorous gaming. Hours of colorful adventure awaits you.
The game is really interesting and has some strategy to it, but that damn music drove me crazy. Every time I play it, I get a headache. My daughter loves playing this though and have made it a lot further in the game then I did. Game doesn't really need a remaster, as the graphics and game play are fairly simple. What are they going to improve? It's still a great game, but I'll play with the sound very low or off.
