Yes, that was a dramatic overstatement. I enjoyed Far Cry 3 very much on the PS3 and had no issues with it at all. I don't see what they would have considered a 'terrible mess'.

Probably because it averaged 22fps on both and had constant drops as low as 11fps. Fun game but horrible optimization on consoles.

Yeah, had FC3 on 360 too and don't remember it being a mess. Long time since I played it but can remember enjoying every moment of it. Ran smooth enough as much as I can remember too.

THE SCREEN TEARING!!! My god it was awful. Nonstop screen tearing, I don't understand how other people could bear it.

It also still had frequent fps drops, despite no vsysnc.

It doesn't look better. Far Cry 4 on PS4 is running like on high settings on PC at 30fps. I am getting very high and some ultra settings at 40-60fps on my PC.

Hardly, look at the detail specifically on the face and water. Pc is much better looking

Not to mention you can run the pc version at 1440p 60fps if you want

Besides the PC version having better textures, much better lighting, higher resolution, higher framerates, better AA, better AF, a wider FOV and most likely a much longer draw distance (hard to tell from any of those screens), but yeah sure, the PS4 version totally looks better.

The fog combined with the ultra shadows on PC settings make this game look a whole lot different the the PS4 version. Its why I got it on PC rather than PS4. Not to mention the higher frame-rate.

Stick both side by side in your room and you will see alot more difference than with some screen shots. Videos and screenshots never do a game justice until you see it in the flesh uncompressed. Otherwise pretty much all games would look the same on every system

Ps4 version best I think, I doubt my PC will run it as good as my ps4, also I'm not in the mood to dump £200 on a graphics card solely to run "A" game

Except that $200 graphics could run "every" game (smh) , and at higher resolution than the PS4... Example, an AMD R9 270X.

pc and ps4 version are pretty close, pc version a bit brighter but thats about it, and ps3 version holds up pretty well better then I expected

Firstly the PS3 still looks damn good, secondly, like it or not, the PS4 looks better than the PC version.

Uhh...no. Compare the very first screens. Look at the PS4 trees closely. They already start to lose their sharpness from the 3rd tree ahead. And the water too, in fact, while being less obvious than the tress. If you just take a quick glance at them the differences are minimal, I agree. Its once you go into the details that they start to become obvious.
