Xbox One? "DayZ is definitely going to be a multi-platform title"

When asked at EGX whether DayZ was coming to Xbox One - having been announced for PlayStation 4 at Gamescom - creator Dean Hall answered:

"DayZ is definitely going to be a multi-platform title - that's the firm vision from Bohemia's standpoint. But we'll announce what all the other platforms are as we get to that point."

This was pretty obvious from the start really, even in the presentation at E3 (iirc?).

Undead Labs will release their Zombie MMO (as well as the State of Decay remaster) well before DayZ is even close to ready...

Someday, Man will travel freely throughout the cosmos... Then DayZ will be available pre-order.

Gosh it's hard to remember which zombie is which from daylight, evil within, day z, and that other 2D 360 game that had a generic name.

Agreed, too ambitious of a game without the needed talent behind it - not to knock these guys but it is true. I'm sure State of Decay and H1Z1 are both actually going to happen and both have talent behind them. If DayZ finally comes out and is good then awesome but I'm not holding my breath and other options are already out there.

With games like the State of Decay MMO, H1Z1 and the Long Dark racing to scratch that post-apocalyptic survival itch, DayZ is fading fast.

I imagine behemoths like the Division and the next Fallout will drive even more fans to the hardcore niche. But the bar they set will be SO HIGH.
Some early birds are already circling... meanwhile, DayZ's in hibernation, dreaming of bodies and brains.

I never understood why so many people thought it wasn't going to be multiplatform to begin with. Dean Hall said he was at Xbox some months ago. I am sure it wasn't because he was in the neighborhood. Haha

With that said. I just recently picked up DayZ on PC and its become one of my favorite games in just two months. The level of interactivity with people is great. However we are still in alpha and it will get there eventually but its gonna be awhile.

Yet in the article its being asked if its coming to Xbox One.

Where as your title makes it seem like it was going to be on Xbox One first and we wanna know if its coming to PS4 and other systems. Again dont get me wrong good submission but to me very misleading stealth troll almost title just to get hits. And when a gamer says that article gets approved quick you say you had to tinker with title. Which makes you look like a Xbox One hater in my eyes at the moment.

H1Z1 will be out before DayZ. and it's going to be better. I don't want DayZ with loads of bugs, because they obviously can't make the game

I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth. Was at EuroGamer when he said the game would absolutely launch before Christmas, they had no choice - it didnt.

At the same EuroGamer he also went into great detail on a bunch of features he said would arrive shortly after launch, none of them have.

Not an issue for Xbox still has State of Decay incoming and the Other game undead labs has in development. So all is good but still curious to play this non broken version of DayZ.
